Baby Lullabies!? I am trying to put together a C.D for my little girls to sleep to, can anyone help me remember some good lullabies?

what are some of your favorite lullabies? (not necessarily baby lullabies)? i met a girl a few days ago who had a book of lullabies she had collected from old musicals and just anything she could find so what are some of you guys favorite lullabies i could look up? not necessarily baby lullabies, just some song saying goodnight to a lover or anything like that

Baby lullabies songs? ive been trying to look for guitar tabs for baby songs lullabies like humpty dumpty, 3 blind mice and rock a bye baby the good baby songs

What are your favorites lullabies or music for your nursery? We only have the little music box in the mobile that you have to wind up. My 9 week old son loves to have music playing but going back in to wind up the mobile every 5 minutes is just ridiculous, so I'm going to make a cd with music for the baby when he's in his crib, but I don't know what songs to put on htere! I'm not very familiar with baby lullabies or music. What are some of your favorites? Thanks! :)

tamara m replied: "I personally love Gregorian chants and celtic flute music. I find both to be very relaxing. Beethoven for babies drives me up the wall. A lot of people say that the chants drive them barmy though, so I suggest listening to sample music instore first"

HRE replied: "I found these cds that are called rockabye baby and they're "lullaby renditions" of good music. we've got bob marley and the beatles, which are good. their website plays samples. they're amazzzzing!"

Another favorite of ours was "Down in the Valley." When my kids were little I loved to borrow music from the local public library. You can borrow CDs of kid songs and rip them to burn your own collection!"

is it true that rockabye baby, lullaby and good night, and row row row your boat all means.? something about death or the black plague? i mean lullaby is meant to lull one with the plague to sleep so they can decapitate him peacefully? rockabye baby so they can push an infected new born of a mountain not to spread the disease. and row row row your boat to have the person ride a boat down a water fall? my friend told me this what do you think
